靈芝是「未病藥」

The oldest Chinese medicine book, entitled 「神農本草經」, delineates drugs into three basic categories - first tier, second tier and third tier. The first tier is natural, non-toxic, harmless for long-term use and desirable for healthiness's sake and longevity. Unlike in modern medicine, only drugs that can effectively cure diseases are regarded as the best medicine. Rather, drugs that can maintain health, achieve longevity, and prevent disease with no side effects, are considered the best. Lingzhi (Reishi mushroom, ganoderma) and ginseng are in this category.

The second tier drugs help to keep healthy, prevent disease or strengthen body, but needs guidance from an experienced herbalist to avoid toxic substances. Such drugs include kudzu roots, ephedra, peony, magnolia, antler, rhino horn and gypsum. The third tier refers to those that are used to treat a disease purposely. Most are poisonous to some degree. So people avoid continuous use of the drug. They might cure the disease, but they frequently come with side effects. Drugs fall into this category are monkshood (aconite roots), pinellia, acacia, almonds and so on.

In the past, few people noticed lingzhi (ganoderma) as it was rarely seen. But recently, after it has been successfully cultivated and largely entered the market, it becomes quite common. More and more people have realized the effectiveness of the drug. Hence, its excellent efficacy is universalized.

Two thousand years ago, the book described the drug as a harmless and a long-term medicine for health. There was a saying: "It cures the disease before it comes to you", meaning "use lingzhi as a treatment to prevent getting sick." This is called preventive medicine in modern medicine.

Modern medicine has preventive medicine for infectious diseases. However, there is no has no such medicine to prevent cancer, myocardial infarction, stroke, diabetes, bronchial asthma and other hard to cure diseases. The concept of preventive medicine in ancient Chinese medicine is exemplified by the use of Korean ginseng and lingzhi (ganoderma). Lingzhi is a preventive medicine for diseases including ones that are hard to cure. I hope you can use them more often particularly those who are at higher risk for the diseases due to age, genetic, and medical history.

In nowadays environment, a drug that plays the role of detoxification is a "medicine to prevent disease." And lingzhi is considered the best. For people with cancer will benefit if lingzhi is taken, under the guidance of a medical practitioner, in addition to the chemotherapy. Use of lingzhi can increase effectiveness of the treatment. If lingzhi is properly used, people can slow down aging, improve health and prevent diseases.

Lingzhi can enhance our immune system and improve the body's resistance to diseases. It is different from drugs that only has effect on certain kind of disease, or supplements that only has certain nutrient aspects. Lingzhi can regulate body functions, balance and mobilize the body's internal energy. It helps to improve metabolism and immunity. Its remarkable performance includes the following:

1, anti-tumor
