右手執勾﹐左手立掌﹐馬步偏左﹐兩臂在胸前左右展開﹐有如一條長鞭(古時武器)﹐
其勢似弱實強。
動作分解﹕
1, 雙掌順纏 (由掌背變掌心向天), 左推右收
2, 左微轉身, 右手提勾, 高與肩平,
3, 屈右膝提左腿, 橫向擦腳
4, 左移重心馬步, 扣微右腳 (使兩腳雙成外八字)
5, 右移重心提掌上行、慢慢順纏翻腕 (掌心向外)
8, 左轉加速擺掌, 坐偏馬步立左掌, 氣沉丹田
口訣:
單鞭一勢最為雄,
一字長蛇互西東
立身中正脊骨節,
神貫首尾脈絡通,
提示
1。順纏推收、轉身提勾﹐
2。屈膝擦腳、左移重心﹐

Notes:
- Rotate two hands on the right (ball rotating movement) to raise the right hand with a hook
- Turn to look left, raise the left foot and move it out to the left to form a horse-riding stance
- Shift weight to the left with the right hook hanging on the right
- Shift weight to the right with the left hand moving toward the hook
- Gradually turn left hand counter-clockwise, then increase speed to place it to the left (palm facing the front)
- Adjust the horse-riding stance slightly on the left side
- Look to the front
