- Right foot steps back, extend sword to the front
- Separate the sword finger and the sword and move them to the sides,
shift weight to the right foot,
left foot sticks out to a toes tapping stance, straignten the back and seat firmly

- Move forward with the left foot, elevating sword and sword finger up to chest high on the side
- Right knee rises above the waist, stand on one leg, bring sword and sword finger to meet in front;
sword finger (or change to an open hand) holds the back of the right hand, both face up
